Ingredients

  • Melted butter, for greasing
  • Betty Crocker™ Chocolate & Mint Flavoured Cake 430g
  • 2 extra large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 1 cup Betty Crocker™ Creamy Deluxe Chocolate Fudge or Chocolate Frosting

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced oven). Generously grease two 6-hole mini (1/3 cup capacity) donut trays with melted butter.

Combine the cake mix, eggs, sour cream and butter in a bowl and beat with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Spoon mixture into a large zip-lock bag or disposable piping bag. Snip off about 8mm of one corner. Gently squeeze the mixture into the prepared trays to fill the moulds half full.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until tops spring back when lightly touched. Cool for 5 minutes in trays. Gently remove donuts from trays and cool, rounded-side up on wire rack. Repeat with remaining mixture.

Warm chocolate frosting in a microwave safe bowl on HIGH/100%/1100 watt in 20 second bursts until melted. Squeeze mint frosting into a second microwave safe bowl and heat for 15-20 seconds, until runny. Working with one donut at a time, dip into warmed chocolate frosting. Replace donuts, frosting side up on rack. Use a spoon to drizzle mint frosting over donuts. Decorate with sprinkles.
