Cake
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 75 g malted milk powder
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 230 ml water
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 125 ml vegetable oil (6 tablespoons)
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 3 medium free range eggs
Icing
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 tub Betty Crocker™ Vanilla Icing
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 75 g malted milk powder
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 tablespoon milk
Decorate
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 10 g chocolate-covered malted milk balls

Betty's Easy Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4. Grease two 20cm cake tins.
  2. Mix the eggs, oil, water, malted milk powder and cake mix gently together and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the cake mixture evenly into your two greased cake tins.
  4. Bake in the centre of the oven for 24-29 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean, then allow to cool on a cooling rack.
  5. Combine vanilla icing, malted milk powder and milk in a bowl and mix together until well combined. Sandwich the sponges together with about half the frosting, and then spread the other half on top of the cake.
  6. Decorate the cake with the chocolate-covered malted milk balls and serve!
  7. Simply Divine!
