Take your cake baking to the next level with this simple trick – use Betty Crocker™ chocolate frosting to make these incredible decorative shards! Simply heat, spread and bake.


All You Need Is ...

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 400g tub Betty Crocker™ Creamy Deluxe Milk Chocolate Frosting
  • Small check mark in a circle icon ½ cup slivered almonds

Betty's Easy Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced). Line 2 shallow 30cm x 20cm rectangular baking trays with a sheet of baking paper. Spread half a tub of chocolate frosting over the paper of each tray, leaving a small border around the edges. Scatter over almonds. Bake undisturbed for 20 minutes. The frosting will bubble up over the almonds and create a toffee. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the tray.
  2. Break into shards and decorate cakes.
